flying script doctor was founded by Barbara Anne Bauer in 1999 to help fellow writers and directors who were wrestling with their scripts. It quickly turned into a resource both for writers and producers, as Barbara built a reputation for fast yet thorough analysis of a script's strong points and weaknesses. Her unique approach to finding solutions close to the author's heart has made her popular with both authors and production companies.
Barbara studied production design at Berlin's renowned Hochschule der Künste (Academy of the Arts), before she embarked on her producing career. She wrote, directed and produced a variety of TV programs in Germany, before moving on to film scriptwriting.
She has sold a wide variety of outlines, ideations and scripts to the industry. From early on, she has been teaching and consulting. What started as a supplemental income soon became a stronghold and a passion in her profession.
Barbara prides herself to count amongst her clientele some of the finest young filmmakers, hip new production outfits and up-and-coming novelists.
